The 400-cc motorcycle segment in the Indian market is currently dominated by Kawasaki Ninja 400 which was introduced in April last year. Now, a new bike has been added in the Indian bike market which is Honda CBR 400R. However, the newly launched is not new in features and design, it is the same model which was unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The only visible change in Honda CBR 400R is its design theme which is inspired from the CBR 650R.o
The 2019 Honda CBR 400 comes with a 399cc in-line two-cylinder engine which produces 46 PS of power and 38 Nm of torque with a water-cooling system. The engine is mated with a 6-speed transmission.
The all-new Honda CBR 400R also gets a new exhaust system and the engine is tuned to deliver better low-end and mid-range torque delivery.
It also gets new LED turn indicators and sharper headlights and taillights. The fuel tank of Honda CBR 400R is 17-litres and is expected to give a mileage of 20-25 kmpl, however, the Japanese Honda website claims a fuel efficiency figure of 41 kmpl.
The CBR 400 R will be available in three colour options, Grand Prix Red, Mat Axis Gray Metallic and Pearl Glare White.
The price of Honda CBR 400R in Japan is 7,93,800 Yen which is roughly Rs 5.16 lakh and its competition Kawasaki Ninja 400 is priced at 6,63,000 Yen which is Rs 4.31 lakh approximately.
