The two-wheeler industry in India is all set to see a long list of electric vehicles till 2020. Yes, you read it right. The mainstream manufacturers like Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor Company and Hero MotoCorp are all gearing up with their own range of electric two-wheelers. Also, there are EV start-ups which are working on interesting electric two-wheelers which will make their debut in India. So, let’s take a look at some of the interesting electric two-wheelers which will be launched in India by 2020.

Revolt RV 400

Revolt Intellicorp's RV 400 electric motorcycle is expected to be launched this month. Revolt RV 400 is said to be India's first AI-enabled motorcycle. The Revolt RV 400 will be available in two colours i.e. Rebel Red and Cosmic Black. The RV 400 has a claimed range of 156 km and is powered by the Revolt App, which is available on both Android and iOS platforms. The app will have connectivity features like bike locator, door-step battery delivery, mobile swap stations, anti-theft, sound selection and preview, among others. TVS Creon

TVS Creon electric scooter will come equipped with a sharp and stylishly attractive design. According to the TVS, Creon will be a performance-oriented electric scooter and it will have a range of 80 km on a single charge. The TVS Creon will be accelerated from 0 to 60 kilometres per hour in just 5.1 seconds. The Creon's battery can be charged to 80 per cent capacity in just 60 minutes. The TVS Creon is powered by three lithium-ion batteries capable of delivering 12 kW of instantaneous power. It will get a range of hi-tech features including smart connectivity. Interestingly, TVS has tied up with Intel for these new age features.

Emflux One

Emflux Motors, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up, is all set to launch India's first electric sportbike, the Emflux One, in 2020. According to the company, the Emflux One will be a top-spec sportbike with performance rivalling conventional 600 cc bikes. The company further claims that the Emflux One has an acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in three seconds with a top speed of around 200 kmph. It will go up to 200 kilometres on a single charge.

Tork T6X

Tork T6X, a homegrown electric motorcycle, will be launched in India soon. The price of the T6X was announced in 2016 at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tork T6X uses a 6kW (8 bhp) electric motor which puts out 27 Nm of instant torque.

According to the company, the T6X can reach a top speed of 100 kmph and will have a range of 100 km on a single charge. The battery can be charged up to 80 per cent capacity in just one hour. The bike is expected to get a range of features, including a full-colour instrument panel which will offer smartphone connectivity, and full-LED lighting all round.

Hero Duet-E

Hero Duet-E electric scooter was first showcased as a concept at the 2016 Auto Expo. It is likely to be launched in 2020. The company claims that Duet-E have a range of 65 km on a single charge and will have performance similar to conventional 110 cc scooters. It is also said that Hero Duet-E will be feature-rich, yet accessible and affordable at the same time.

Bajaj Urbanite

Bajaj will be launching its first electric scooter under the Urbanite brand name, along with other electric two-wheelers. Bajaj Urbanite will sport a neo-retro design and come with twin taillamps, alloy wheels and disc brakes. A full-digital, feature-rich instrument panel which will display a long list of features, including possibly, built-in satellite navigation as well are expected.
