Kia Motors will launch Seltos on August 22, 2019. Along with the launch of Seltos, Kia Motors will enter the Indian market. It was recently reported that the first product of the Kia Motors have so far bagged over 23,300 bookings. It is worth mentioning here that pre-bookings of Kia Seltos was started on July 16 for a token amount of Rs 25,000 and will continue until August 22. The mass production of the upcoming compact SUV has commenced at the company's manufacturing facility in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Well, here’s a piece of good news for all the buyers of Kia Seltos. Kia Seltos deliveries will start on August 22, the day the compact SUV is launched in India. Yes, you read it right.
It is worth mentioning here that the automaker has currently set up 192 dealerships across 160 cities in India. All these dealerships of Kia Motors feature Kia's internet of things (IOT) theme or the Kia link App. It means that digital purchase and after sales services will be available at all Kia dealerships. Interesting, isn’t it?
The Kia Link App will help scheduling a service appointment and the owners will be notified about an upcoming or service due reminder, to maintain the vehicle performance.
Coming to the automaker’s maiden product in India, Kia Seltos will be available in Tech Line and GT Line trims. The Tech Line trim will be divided into five variants -- HT E, HT K, HT K+, HT X and HT X+. The GT Line trim will have three variants -- GT K, GT X and GT X+. The compact SUV will be available in eight monotone and five dual-tone colour options.
Kia Seltos will come with BS VI compliant powertrain. The SUV will come with an option of 1.4 litre Turbo GDI petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. It will also come with multiple automatic transmission options like IVT, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed AT and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The compact SUV will be available in normal, eco and sports drive modes.
The mid-size SUV will have the iconic tiger-nose grille with full LED headlamps on the front and vertically housed LED fog lamps. On the rear, the car will be equipped with LED taillights and dual exhaust pipes.
Along with 17-inch five-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels, the compact SUV will come with roof rails and shark fin antenna. Inside the cabin, the new Kia Seltos will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen audio video navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The compact SUV will also get features like 8-inch HUD (Heads Up Display), blind-spot view monitor, EPS (Electronic Power Steering), eco coating, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and push-button start/stop.
On the safety features front, the car will carry multiple airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and BA (Brake Assist), reverse parking sensors and camera, the compact SUV also gets VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), TCS (Traction Control System) and HAC (Hill-start Assist Control). There will be a 360-degree camera as well.
The price of Kia Seltos is expected to range between Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
