Mercedes-Benz launches the new V-class luxury MPV in India today. With improved style and luxury, the Mercedes-Benz V-class will be coming to you via the CBV route. The V-class is available in different seating options – six and seven seater. It will be offered in two variants: Long wheelbase and extra-long wheelbase.

The seats can also be rotated to 180-degrees and passengers can sit facing each other, making this MPV suitable for interactions and meetings as well. The MercedesBenzInd VClass Expression has been priced at Rs 68.40 lakh, while the Exclusive is priced at Rs 81.90 lakh (both ex-showroom).

It comes with 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that also powers the C-Class and the E-Class All-Terrain models in India. Plus, it also gets an optional Burmester sound system with 15 speakers

The cabin of the V-class is premium and well-equipped, featuring styling elements like the clean dashboard with large air-con vents and a stick-out display for the COMAND infotainment system. It also comes with safety tech such as crosswind assist, attention assist, headlight assist, tyre pressure monitoring systems, active parking assist and six-airbags as standard.

"The launch of the V-Class in India firmly underscores our pioneering spirit as we introduce the 'Luxury Multi-Purpose Vehicle' segment for our discerning Indian customers," Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Martin Schwenk said.

The V-Class is targeted at a wide array of potential customers comprising large families, sports enthusiasts and businesses, he added.

Schwenk further said in 2019, Mercedes-Benz completes 25 years in India and this milestone will be marked with "a wide range of product offensive, starting with the V-Class".

"We have some of the most-awaited products planned for the Indian market in 2019 that will keep the customers and enthusiasts fascinated," he said.

In 2018, Mercedes-Benz India posted a 1.4 per cent increase in its sales with a record 15,538 units, retaining its leadership position in the luxury segment for the fourth year in a row.
