Fiat Chrysler India is all set to launch the new-generation Jeep Wrangler on August 9 this year. However, the automaker has not yet revealed whether Jeep will launch the Rubicon or the Sahara or both. In the last few months, both new-gen models have been spotted testing in India.
According to a report by NDTV’s carandbike, both the 3-door Wrangler and the 5-door Wrangler Unlimited have been imported to the country, and it is possible that the SUVs are here for homologation.
It is worth mentioning here that the Jeep Wrangler models were first showcased in November last year, at the Los Angeles Auto Show, followed by its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
Talking about the features, both the upcoming Jeep Wrangler is lighter, larger and comes along with off-road capability. Also, you will find visual upgrades including the new grille and LED headlamps in the upcoming Jeep Wrangler models. Well, you will further get a new bumper. Both the upcoming models of Jeep also gets stylish alloy wheels and new ORVM's with integrated turn signal lights and new tail-lamps.
The two all-new Jeep will also come equipped with an updated cabin with a revised dashboard. Both the models of Jeep Wrangler will further sport an Uconnect 4C NAV 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control and many more. The two Jeep also carries features like passive keyless entry, push-button start and much more.
They will feature 3.6-litre V6 naturally aspirated Pentastar engine, and the 2.2-litre diesel engine. Global models of the Jeep Wrangler features a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that features mild-hybrid technology for the first time ever. Interestingly, both the Jeep Wrangler will only be available with an 8-speed automatic gearbox - which is also brand new.
Under the hood, both the models of 2019 Jeep Wrangler will feature 3.6-litre V6 naturally aspirated Pentastar engine, and the 2.2-litre diesel engine. Globally, the Wrangler features a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that houses mild-hybrid technology. It will only be available with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
