Renault on Wednesday confirmed that it will launch the Duster facelift in India on July 8. With a of design changes on the outside and inside, the Renault Duster facelift will be up against Hyundai Creta and Nissan Terrano in the Indian market.
According to a report in India Today, the updated Renault Duster comes with an all-new grille. Also, it is equipped with a projector headlamps along with LED DRLs. A new front and rear bumpers is installed in the facelift. The SUV further gets a refurbished alloy wheels as well. However, there is change in the tail-lamp design.
Inside the cabin of Duster facelift, it sports a redesigned multi-function steering wheel along with updated touchscreen infotainment. The SUV also gets a premium seat upholstery.
The SUV is currently available with three engine options including a 4-cylinder, 1.5-litre, H4K petrol motor that produces 106 PS and 142 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and also has an option for a CVT.
There is also a 4-cylinder, 1.5-litre, dCi powertrain which churns out 110 PS and 245 Nm of torque. It is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox, with an option for an AMT. The 1.5-litre, dCi engine also has a less powerful motor that churns out 85 PS and 200 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. All these mills are BS4-compliant.
Currently, Renault Duster is available in the price range of Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 12.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
It is being expected that the Duster facelift will be equipped with BS6 compliant versions of these engines. However, the official confirmation on the engine and price will come from the company on the day of launch of Duster facelift.
