The BS6 compliant version of the Suzuki Access 125 has been launched in India. The price for BS6 Suzuki Access 125 in India starts ar Rs 64,800 which goes up to Rs 69,500. Interestingly, the scooter marks the automaker’s transition from BS4 to BS6 emission norms. It is to be noted that BS-VI (BS6) emission regulations are set to kick in India from April 1, 2020.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Managing Director Koichiro Hirao said, "We have entered a new era of Suzuki Motorcycle India with the launch of our first BS-6 compliant product, the All-New Suzuki Access 125. We are proud to introduce the new family scooter ahead of the regulatory timeline and continue to work toward aligning our product portfolio with the new emission norms.”

“Suzuki Access 125 is a major contributor to SMIPL's growth story and has received an overwhelming response from our customers. We believe that with the launch of All-New Suzuki Access 125 BS-6 compliant version, we will continue to meet and exceed our customers' expectations," he added.

Coming to the specifications of BS6 Suzuki Access 125, the scooter draws power from an updated BS6-compliant, 124 cc, FI engine that churns out 8.6 bhp at 6,750 rpm. The engine comes with the Suzuki Eco performance technology and is mated to a CVT.

The BS6 Suzuki Access 125 comes in Standard and Special Editions. The Standard Edition has three variants i.e. Steel Drum Brake, Alloy Drum Brake, and Alloy Disc Brake. It is available in five colour options including Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue, Metallic Matte Platinum Silver, Pearl Mirage White, Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey.

On the other hand, the Special Edition has two variants i.e. Alloy Drum Brake and Alloy Disc Brake. It gets four paint schemes including Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red, Metallic Dark Greenish Blue, Metallic Matte Black and Pearl Mirage White.

As for the features are concerned, the scooter comes equipped with LED headlamp, digital meter, long seat, enlarged floorboard, and larger under-seat storage. The scooter further gets eco assist illumination in digital meter and external fuel refilling lid.
