Gemopai Electric on Monday announced the launch of Astrid Lite at a price of Rs 79,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is to be noted that Gemopai Electric is a joint venture between Goreen E-Mobility and Opai Electric. Interestingly, the company also has introductory offers on the pre-bookings of Gemopai Astrid Lite across dealerships. Astrid Lite will be made available in five colours including Eclectic Neon, Deep Indigo, Fiery Red, Burnt Charcoal and Fireball Orange. The deliveries of Astrid Lite will commence from first week of October and the scooter will be sold in Nepal also.

Gemopai Astrid Lite comes equipped with a 2,400 W electric motor along with a 1.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. The electric scooter gets a range of 75 to 90 km, depending on the riding mode that you choose. Importantly, the battery is removable. There are three riding modes including City, Sport and Economy and the electric scooter has a top speed of 65 kmph. Interested buyers can also choose to get an extra battery installed in the scooter which doubles the range to about 150 - 180 km. The scooter is also capable of climbing up 18 degree gradient. 

Features Astrid Lite include full colour LED display along with full LED lighting, keyless start and a USB port. The newly-launched electric scooter also gets disc brake at the front along, and a drum brake at the rear. Other safety features it include side-stand sensor, anti-theft sensor and electronic assist brake system (EABS).
