The booking for Jawa Perak will begin bookings from January next year.

New Delhi:

Jawa Motorcycles has launched Perak in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.94 lakh (ex-showroom in Delhi). This is the third and last of the three models Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra, had showcased last year. The price has seen a rise of Rs 6,000 and this is probably because the engine has been upgraded to meet the new BSVI emission norms.

The booking for Jawa Perak will begin bookings from January 1 next year but the delivery of bikes will begin from April 2, 2020. This will be quite a significant waiting period and it will follow the trend of the earlier two bikes.

However, the look of Jawa Perak is completely different from its siblings. The bike’s bobber styling looks impressive with a low and long stance. There is no chrome work and has been replaced by a matte-black treatment. The bike’s bobber look has been highlighted by the bar-end mirrors, stubby exhaust mufflers, and chopped fenders.

In terms of specifications, the Jawa Perak bobber has a single BS6-compliant 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that develops a maximum torque of 30 hp and maximum torque of 31Nm. This is slightly larger than the earlier two versions i.e. Jawa and Forty Two.

The Perak also has a different subframe-and-suspension setup at the rear. The bike features a disc brake at either end with dual-channel ABS as standard and employs a mono-shock.
