KTM has recently launched the RC 125 in India. The newly-launched motorcycle is positioned above the entry-level Duke 125 and below the Duke 200. KTM RC 125 shares most of its components with the RC 200 and its powerplant with the Duke 125. KTM RC 125 competes with Gixxer SF 155 in the Indian market. KTM RC 125
The body of KTM RC 125 is fully faired and it gets the company's steel trellis frame, upside down forks by WP and a triple clamp handlebar as well. KTM RC 125 is also equipped with twin projector headlamps with daytime running lamps and a digital instrument console.
KTM RC 125 has a ground clearance of 157 mm and has a weight of 154.2 kg. As far as the engineering is concerned, KTM RC 125 uses the 124 cc single-cylinder engine which produces 14.3 bhp of power and 12 Nm of peak torque. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
On the braking front, KTM RC 125 comes from a 300 mm disc up at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear. The KTM’s new arrival gets a Bosch single-channel ABS and rear-lift mitigation (RLM).
The price of KTM RC 125 in India has been set at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Suzuki Gixxer SF 155
Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 comes with curvy design has been ditched for a sleeker design which bears close resemblance to its elder sibling, the Gixxer SF 250. Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 features a full LED headlamp and tail lamp unit, updated digital instrument console, split-seats and clip-on handlebars.
Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 is powered by the 155cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor which produces 13.9bhp while torque output remains 14Nm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle has telescopic forks up front and monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by disc brakes at both ends and is equipped with single-channel ABS.
Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 is offered in three colours – Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Sonic Silver and Suzuki Racing Blue livery similar to the GSX-RR MotoGP race bike.
Suzuki Gixxer SF 155 is priced at Rs 1,00,212 (ex-showroom Delhi).
