BMW Motorrad, the two-wheeler arm of German luxury carmaker BMW, on Thursday said its sales increased by 10 per cent last year at 2,403 units from 2,187 units in 2018.

“Despite the turbulence in two-wheeler industry, BMW Motorrad has been successful by achieving double-digit growth,” BMW Group India President and CEO Rudratej Singh said in a statement.

The company’s brand strength is that it has something in store for everyone, he added. “We cater to the requirements of the purists while also fulfilling aspirations of a new base of brand fans who want to enter the Motorrad world,” Singh said.

The company said sales momentum last year was primarily driven by G 310 R and the G 310 GS bikes which commanded a share of over 85 per cent in the yearly sales.

BMW India Aftersales Introduces BMW Smart Repair Service

BMW India has announced the introduction of ‘BMW Smart Repairs’ throughout its service network in the country. The unique BMW repair service ensures faster repairs and reduction in cost for small and medium size repairs. Latest technology and tools are used to carry out targeted repairs without having to replace bigger parts.

BMW Smart Repair includes body and paint related jobs including plastic parts, dents, spot paint job, headlight, alloy wheel and leather works. Repairs are performed with precision as per BMW’s standard guidelines by highly trained BMW service technicians, using only genuine BMW tools and equipment.

Moreover, German luxury carmaker BMW recently said it has upgraded its entire petrol vehicle range in India to conform to BS VI emission regulations. The automaker said it is now working to upgrade its diesel range to conform to stricter emission norms which kick in the country from April, 1 next year.
