New Delhi:

As Bugatti celebrates its 110th birthday, the company revived the Bugatti ‘Baby,' a miniature replica of the Type 35 race car. The car was originally launched in 1927. The car has been exclusively deigned for youngsters. However, it's suitable for both adults and children. The car is a 75 percent scale replica, making it larger than the half-scale original. The Volkswagen Group subsidiary said the car was created by scanning an original Type 35. Details that match the original include cast-alloy wheels, a spare tire secured with leather straps and a leaf spring suspension. Updates include a limited slip differential for better traction and handling.

Bugatti Baby II Specs

In terms of powertrain, the Baby II is a BEV like the first generation; however, this iteration features removable lithium-ion battery packs, a limited slip differential, regenerative braking, and two power modes. The 1kW child mode has a top speed of 20km/h while the 4kW adult mode as a top speed of 45km/h that can be further increased by 10km/h with an optional upgrade.

Furthermore, kids (and some adults) will be riding the Bugatti Baby II in luxurious comfort on a leather seat surrounded by the company's signature aluminium dashboard and steering wheel as well as custom brand instruments. The blue exterior (which is optional) has been completed with eight-spoke aluminium alloy wheels that are replicas of the set found on the full-size Type 35.

There are two driving modes, giving top speeds of either 12 or 28mph. Or, as an option, you can buy a second Speed Key, just like a real Bugatti, which disengages the speed limiter, boosts power and gives a top speed of something more like 50 to 60mph. They’re not entirely sure yet, because just like the Chiron, a final top speed run hasn’t been completed, according to media report.
