Ford India has finally added a new variant in the EcoSport lineup. Well, aren’t you excited to know more about the new edition? Notably, Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition has been launched in India with cosmetic and feature upgrades. The subcompact SUV is available in both petrol and diesel engine.
The all-new Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition brings a number of cosmetic upgrades including the dark inserts on the headlamp cluster and black treatment to the fog lamp bezel. Importantly, the black theme is carried over to the grille, roof, rear view mirrors and the dual-tone bonnet with the sides getting black decals on the doors and black finished 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin also gets the sporty dark theme and comes with a dual-tone dashboard, door panels and seats finished in cognac accents. So looking at the cosmetic changes, you must be tempted to bring this new subcompact SUV at home. Aren’t you?
On the features front, the car gets an electric sunroof, 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system gets SYNC 3, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with embedded navigation.
On the engineering front, the EcoSport’s new edition is available with the 1.5 Litre TiVCT petrol and the 1.5 Litre TDCi diesel engine. Both the engines are mated to manual gearbox, missing on the Automatic Gearbox. The petrol variant churns out 121 bhp, while diesel engine produces 99 bhp.

The Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition is priced at Rs 10.18 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 10.68 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) for the diesel version. The prices are exactly same as of the Titanium+ variant.
It is to be noted that the new Thunder Edition arrives just days after Maruti Suzuki introduced the Vitara Brezza Sports Edition in the market.
