Ford on Tuesday unveiled a new SUV inspired compact crossover named as Puma. Loaded with several premium features, Ford Puma joins Fiesta Active, Focus Active, EcoSport, Kuga, Edge, and the all-new Explorer Plug-In Hybrid in the carmaker's international line-up.

It is to be noted that Ford has introduced the Puma crossover with distinctive personalities including the sporty Puma ST-Line and stylish Puma Titanium, reflecting individual customers' preferences. Talking about the exterior of the new SUV, Ford Puma gets LED headlights with LED DRL and static cornering lights.

Inside the cabin, Ford Puma is equipped with features like lumbar support and massage function for front seats, 12.3-inch digital instrument display cluster, 8-inch touchscreen display with SYNC 3 infotainment system and FordPass Connect embedded modem and panoramic sunroof.

On the powertrain front, Ford Puma compact crossover gets a 1-litre EcoBoost petrol engine with hybrid technology. The motor is available in 123 bhp or 153 bhp hybrid options and is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Features like Ford Co-Pilot360, adaptive cruise control, emergency steering assist, selectable drive modes, rear-view camera, blind spot information system (BLIS), cross-traffic alert and traffic sign recognition provide for a better driving experience is available in the all-new Ford Puma.

On the safety features front, Ford Puma gets pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, autonomous emergency braking, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC) and traction control system (TCS), etc.

Ford Puma will be offered in 11 colours i.e. Solar Silver, Agate Black, Luxe Yellow, Lucid Red, Grey Matter, Desert Island Blue, Blazer Blue, Frozen White, Race Red, Magnetic and Metropolis White. As far as boot space are concerned, it provides 456 litres of luggage capacity.

Recently, Ford India added a new variant in the EcoSport lineup. The all-new Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition is priced at Rs 10.18 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 10.68 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom) for the diesel version.
