Maruti Suzuki is one of the most loved brands when it comes to a family car and the sale numbers certainly agrees with it. Out of the top 10 bestselling cars in February 2019, Maruti Suzuki secures six spots out of 10 and the car which topped the charts is Alto.
A total of 24,751 units of Maruti Suzuki Alto were sold in February 2019 which is almost 25 per cent more than 19,769 units in the same month last year.
Alto is followed by the Maruti Suzuki’s Swift, Baleno, Dzire, WagonR and Brezza with 18,224, 17,944, 15,915, 15,661 and 11,613 units respectively.
At number seven, it is Hyundai’s Elite i20 with 11,547 units, Creta at number eight with 10,206 units and Grand i10 at number nine with 9,065 units sold in the month of February 2019.
Maruti Suzuki Alto comes with a 796cc three-cylinder petrol engine which can produce 35.3kW pof power @6000 rpm and 69Nm of torque @3500 rpm.
In the top variant of Maruti Suzuki Alto, the driver side gets an airbag and comes with front power windows, power steering, remote keyless entry, digital speedometer, body coloured outside door handles, sporty front and rear bumper and grille.
The price of Maruti Suzuki Alto begins from Rs 266,643 lakh to Rs 349, 708 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The CNG variant begins from Rs 387,301 to Rs 393,244 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
