New Delhi:

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday presented the much-awaited Budget of the Narendra Modi government. Here are the reactions to Union Budget 2015.

PM Narendra Modi: I congratulate FM for doing an excellent job in respecting aspirations of the States & at the same time delivering on National priorities.

Budget indicates our commitment to ensure development of Eastern & Northeastern parts of India gets an impetus & drives future growth. Details of the Black Money law being introduced demonstrates our firm commitment to bring back every Rupee of Black Money stashed abroad.

Budget is investment friendly & removes all doubts on tax issues, assures investors that we have a stable, predictable & fair tax system. Budget 2015 has a distinct focus on farmers, youth, poor, neo-middle class & the Aam Nagrik. It delivers on growth, equity & job creation. Union Budget 2015 is a Budget with a clear vision. It is a Budget that is progressive, positive, practical, pragmatic & prudent.

Rajnath Singh, Home Minister: Budget 2015 will play an important role in the formation of modern India. Budget is worth appreciation. Will help in the elimination of poverty and unemployment.

Ambika Soni, Congress: They continue to please & work for benefit of businessmen and corporate houses.

Chirag Paswan, LJP: Eventually the cuts in corporate tax will create job opportunities in the nation.

Deepender Hooda, Congress: It's a mix budget. There are positive initiatives but historic cuts in corporate taxes have been given.

Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister: Budget2015 is very professional, an in-depth and farsighted budget indeed.

Manish Tewari, Congress: Budget 2015  is high in intent, low on delivery.

Jitendra Singh, MoS, PMO: Positive, constructive and a practical budget.

Mayawati: This is not a practical budget, not as per the aspirations of poor & common man of nation.

PC Chacko, Congress: Govt had enough money, that’s why they could provide so many things. Some schemes we welcome, but when they follow schemes started by UPA govt, they should have at least acknowledge it.

Venkaiah Naidu, BJP: Very innovative, very inspiring; people will be very happy.

Jay Panda, BJD: It is a big bang budget as far as country and economy is concerned.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar: Jaitley ji has done an extremely good job, I give him 9.5 out of 10.

Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress: Budget 2015 is just a vision document, a budget in interest of corporates and industrialists.

Kamal Nath, Congress: This has only been the budget of Commissions, committees and promises.

Ashwini Kumar, Congress: This budget is nothing more than jugglery of words.

Siddharth Birla, FICCI: A very balanced budget, relaxation has been given for job creation & job creators.

Prakash Javadekar, BJP: A historical budget. It has given social security to all. It's of the poor, for the poor.

Suresh Prabhu, Rail Minister: Budget is in interest of people of nation, steps have been taken to control inflation, increase investment.

Nitin Gadkari, BJP: Highest priority has been given to infrastructure for first time in the history of country.

Smriti Irani, Union Minister: A pragmatic budget, gives lot of thrust on infrastructure, skill India, innovation, girl’s education. 'Nayi manzil' sounds very interesting, 'Atal yojana' program needs to be celebrated across country.

Supriya Sule, NCP: Budget 2015 is disappointing, they could have done much more.
