World’s cheapest car, Tata Nano entered the Guinness World Records book for driving on a longest journey covering the entire country, the company said.
The Indian auto giant, Tata Motors' celebrated their small car’s incredible feat, with a small felicitation ceremony in Bangalore city on Tuesday.
The expedition in Nano started on March 21, 2013 and ended after 10 days on March 30, 2013.
The team covered total distance of 10,218 km from Kanyakumari in southern Tamil Nadu to circumnavigate the country and returning to Bangalore.
The team with Nano broke the previous world record of 8,046 km.
The car was driven by motoring enthusiast Srikarunya Subrahmanyam from Bangalore and his team.
India's first Formula One motor racing driver Narain Karthikeyan felicitated Subrahmanyam and the team for the record achievement on the occasion.
