New Delhi:

Tata Sons Chairman Ratan Tata on Tuesday met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the aftermath of the bitter removal of Cyrus Mistry.

Tata who was brought in back soon after Mistry’s ouster in his place wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the changes in USD 100 billion conglomerate.

Tata and Jaitley’s meeting went on for over 30 minutes. Though, the 78-year-old chieftain refused to comment on the discussion with Jaitley, who also heads the Corporate Affairs Ministry.

The government has so far maintained distance from commenting on the row, calling it an internal affair of Tata Sons.

On October 24, Mistry was abruptly removed as Chairman of group holding company Tata Sons Ltd after several rounds of allegations and counter allegations.

Earlier Mistry had backfired and called it a wrongful termination of him.

Tata Sons on the other hand accused Mistry of being a poor leader who was seeking to wrest control of some of key units. Mistry denied these allegations and termed them as unsubstantiated.
