New Delhi:

Social media giant Facebook on Friday launched a new product which will allow advertisers to combine video, still images and copy in an ad.

Going by the name ‘Canvas’, it will be a full-screen interactive mobile ad that loads  instantaneously when someone taps on a news feed ad -- for advertisers across the world.

Basically these are immersive advertisements which aim at grabbing user’s attention by blocking out all other content and offering a full-screen.

Its very easy to create Canvas, any advertiser with basic knowledge can make it as no code or software is required. Canvas is designed in a way that will help businesses tell stories and show products on mobile devices in a beautiful way.

“We’re committed to building great mobile experiences for people and doing so also opens up new creative possibilities for advertisers. We’ve invested in engaging experiences like video and the carousel format to empower advertisers with more creative space to share their brand and products on mobile,” Facebook stated in a blogpost.

The feature works on both Android and iOS platforms. Within a Canvas, people enjoy moving through digital stories easily. It is also said to load 10 times faster than the ads would otherwise load on the standard mobile web.
