New Delhi:
US security agencies have decided not use kickable "robotic mule" project citing the loud noise created by the object. The project was planned by US Marines during an extended testing period at the "Rim of the Pacific" exercise a year ago.
Confirming that the idea had been put in backlog, a US Marines spokesman said the noise levels suggested the robots could not be used in real-world operations.
The robo-dogs made worldwide headlines for their canningly similar looks and structure like a real dog.
However, a smaller, electric-power robot about the size of a large dog was tested in September, but it never meet the desired fate. The robo-dog could carry only 40 pounds and did not have the advanced technology features of the LS3.
