Ministry Of Statistics & Programme Implementation Said In A Press Release Said, In Terms Of Industries, Seventeen Out Of 23 Industry Groups In The Manufacturing Sector Have Shown Negative Growth During The Month Of September 2019 As Compared To The Corresponding Month Of The Previous Year’’.

The industrial production measured by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) shrinked for the second month in a row in September. Index of industrial production contracted by 4.3 per cent in September compared with a contraction of 1.1 per cent in August.
Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation said in a press release said, "In terms of industries, seventeen out of 23 industry groups in the manufacturing sector have shown negative growth during the month of September 2019 as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year’’.
