LPG Prices Reduced: On the very first day of the new financial year, the price of non-subsidised LPG Cylinder has received a massive cut. Yes, you read it right. The price of a non-subsidised LPG Cylinder cooking gas (14.2 kilograms) has been lowered by more than Rs 60 across metro cities in the country. According to the state-owned Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC), the price of a 14.2 kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai has been slashed by Rs 61.5, Rs 65, Rs 62, and Rs 64.5, respectively.

After the revised prices, a 14.2 kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder now costs Rs 744 per cylinder (14.2 kilograms) and Rs 714.5 (14.2 kilograms) per cylinder in Delhi and Mumbai, respectively. On the other hand, the 14.2 kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder in Kolkata is now retailing at Rs 774.5. Whereas, the non-subsidised LPG cylinder in Chennai costs Rs 761.5.

It is worth mentioning here that this is the second price cut in the cooking gas rates after six increases since August last year. Last month the price of a non-subsidised LPG Cylinder cooking gas (14.2 kilograms) was slashed by Rs 52.50 across metro cities in the country.

Importantly, these rates are set by state-owned oil retailers based on international crude rates and rupee's exchange rates.

Petrol And Diesel Prices Remain Constant

In the meantime, the prices of petrol and diesel have remained unchanged in the major cities across the country. The price of petrol is Rs 69.59 per litre in Delhi while it stands at Rs 75.30 per litre in Mumbai, Rs 72.29 per litre in Kolkata, and Rs 72.28 per litre in Chennai, respectively, reports ET. Diesel prices remain at Rs 62.29 per litre in Delhi, Rs 65.71 in Chennai, Rs 64.62 per litre in Kolkata and Rs 65.21 per litre in Mumbai.

In Noida, petrol is retailing at Rs 72.01 a litre, while diesel price is Rs 62.95 a litre. The price of petrol in Gurugram is Rs 70.15 a litre while diesel was selling at Rs 62.02 a litre.
