Petrol, Diesel Rates Today: The upwards trend in petrol and diesel prices continued with state-run oil marketing companies again increasing petrol and diesel prices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Gurugram and Noida on Sunday (September 22). While the rate of one litre of petrol rose by an average of 21-28 paise, diesel saw an average increase of 21-23 paise. The petrol and diesel prices in India are rising after spike in global oil prices following attacks on Saudi Arabian crude oil facilities.
Fuel (Petrol, Diesel, CNG) Rates In Indian Cities
The petrol prices in Delhi rose to Rs 73.62 a litre as against Rs 73.35 on Saturday while diesel prices increased by 21 paise to Rs 66.74 per litre as compared to Rs 66.53 a litre on Saturday, according to the fuel price data available on the website of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL).
The price of petrol in Noida rose by 21 paise to Rs 75.21 a litre while diesel was selling at Rs 67.06 a litre. In Gurugram, petrol is retailing at Rs 73.41 a litre, diesel price in Gurugram rose to Rs 65.95 a litre.
In Mumbai, petrol was retailing at Rs 79.29 per litre after raise of 27 paise. On Sunday, a litre of diesel is priced at Rs 70.01 per litre in Mumbai, 22 paise higher than Saturday's Rs 69.79.
In Chennai, the retail price of petrol increased by 28 paise to Rs 76.52 a litre, while rose 23 paise to Rs 70.56 a litre. In Kolkata, petrol is retailing at Rs 76.32 a litre today, up 27 paise from Saturday. Diesel price climbed to Rs 69.15 a litre today, 21 paise more than Saturday's prices.
The price of CNG is Rs 47.10 a kg in Delhi this month. The price of CNG is Rs 52.95 a kg in Noida while CNG is priced at Rs 58.45 per kg in Gurugram.
