Petrol, Diesel Rates Today: The price of petrol and diesel prices continued to rise. Petrol and diesel prices have been rising daily for the last 7 days from September 17 following attacks on Saudi Arabian crude oil facilities. It continued to rise on the eighth day as state-run oil marketing companies again increasing petrol and diesel prices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Gurugram and Noida on Tuesday (September 24). The price of petrol was up by 20-22 paise per litre and that of diesel by 14-15 paise per litre on Monday.
Fuel (Petrol, Diesel, CNG) Rates In Indian Cities
The petrol prices in Delhi rose to Rs 74.13 a litre as against Rs 73.91 on Monday while diesel prices increased to Rs 67.07 per litre as compared to Rs 66.93 a litre on Monday, according to the fuel price data available on the website of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL).
The price of petrol in Noida rose to Rs 75.61 a litre while diesel was selling at Rs 67.39 a litre. In Gurugram, petrol is retailing at Rs 73.81 a litre, diesel price in Gurugram rose to Rs 66.23 per litre.
In Mumbai, petrol was priced at Rs 79.79 per litre after raise of 22 paise. On Tuesday, a litre of diesel is priced at Rs 70.37 per litre in Mumbai, 15 paise higher than Monday's Rs 70.22.
In Chennai, the retail price of petrol increased by 23 paise to Rs 77.06 a litre, while diesel rose 15 paise to Rs 70.91 a litre. In Kolkata, petrol is retailing at Rs 76.82 a litre today, while diesel price climbed to Rs 69.49 a litre today.

The price of CNG is Rs 47.10 a kg in Delhi this month. The price of CNG is Rs 52.95 a kg in Noida while CNG is priced at Rs 58.45 per kg in Gurugram.
Why Fuel Prices Change Every Day?
The fuel prices are in India are revised on a daily basis. Petrol and diesel prices are revised every day at 06:00 am to sync it with the variation in global oil prices. When international crude oil prices gain, prices in India move higher. Other factors also impact the price of fuel like rupee to US dollar exchange rate, cost of crude oil, global cues, demand for fuel, and so on.
