After the launch of a mobile application ‘Himmat’, the Delhi Police is planning to start a ‘Himmat Whatsapp Group’ for women safety.
The WhatsApp group is specially made for those women who use public transport on a regular basis.
The Delhi Police will soon launch the group, which will allow females to post photo of the number plate of the bus, taxi or auto before boarding it.
According to Delhi Police the auto, bus or taxi drivers cannot stop female passengers from taking picture of the number plate. If he does so, the female passengers can file a complaint against him.
As many as 27,000 people have downloaded the ‘Himmat’ app in just one month. The app is especially built for female commuters who use public transport.
