Washington:

Google is reportedly planning to submit a proposal seeking to set up a new campus in Mountain View next month.

According to the Verge, the company worked with Danish architect Bjarke Ingels from the Bjarke Ingels Group and Thomas Heatherwick of Heatherwick Studio to build a series of city block-sized "canopies" - glass greenhouse-style buildings.

It is reported that the canopies are similar to a piece of glass fabric.

The company is opting for a "high-tech shading system" to keep the buildings from being too warm.

David Radcliffe, Google's vice president of real estate, said to the SVBJ: "We envision there will be some more permanent structures like stairwells and restroom cores and things like that."

He further said that there will also be other components that one can actually take out and put in.
