Chinese electronics company Xiaomi has announced the Mi Pad tablet with a budget price tag and exceptional hardware in India.
Mi Pad tablet is the same device which was likened to the Apple iPad Mini at the time of launch last year and given the display resolution, size and some of the images used in its press materials.
According to tech site gizmodo.com, the tablet has been priced at Rs. 12,999 in India and will be available without requiring prior registration from the 24th of March.
Xiaomi is known for its exclusive flash sales which limits the reach of its devices to a select number of individuals, so this is a refreshing change of pace from the company.
Xiaomi has mentioned that the Mi Pad will be available in white color option initially. Mi Pad tablet has WiFi only and has no support for 3G networks.
Mi Pad tablet will have7.9-inch 2048x1536 resolution IPS display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3, 8MP camera, 5MP front camera, 2.2 GHz quad core NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage (expandable using microSD), Android 4.4.4 KitKat with MIUI and 6,700 mAh Battery.
