New Delhi:

The World 'Human Rights Day' will be observed on December 10. This year, the growing menace of human trafficking would be one of the top agendas.

Human Rights are of utmost importance in a democracy like India to promote the ideas of equality, fraternity and liberty among citizens. The Indian constitution has laid down a set of fundamental rights for the citizens of the country so that they can live with dignity and be treated with equality and respect irrespective of their caste, creed or colour.

News Nation has joined hands with UC News India to create awareness about basic human rights.

On this campaign, we caught up with TV celebrity Sonal Vengurlekar who plays a lead role in the much famed 'Saam Dam Dand Bhed' serial. Highlighting the importance of human rights, Sonal Vengurlekar strongly felt that every citizen is entitled to their basic human rights but are usually deprived off the same.

So it becomes everyone's moral responsibility, right from an individual to an organisation to make an environment conducive for creating an awareness about Human rights.
