New Delhi:

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has denied rumours suggesting that it was planning to hold re-examination for Class 12 Maths examination on May 1. Putting an end to the reports, the CBSE made it clear that the re-examination will not take place.

A fake circular from the CBSE went viral on social media and most of the students did not notice ‘Divas Murkha’ typed at the bottom end of the circular. A lot of confusion was created following which students tweeted to HRD minister Smriti Irani seeking clarification.

The Maths class 12 board exam was held on March 14 and the students had claimed that it was too tough and was of "IIT standard". A petition was also started by the students in change.org demanding leniency in the paper evaluation process.
