Ahmedabad:
Controversial self-styled godman Asaram, who is arrested on sexual assault charges, on Wednesday refused to cooperate for a potency test at a hospital in Ahmedabad, officials said.
"He (Asaram) was brought for the test but did not cooperate for the same, so he was taken back by police," hospital superintendent, Dr MM Prabhakar, said.
A court in Gandhinagar had on Wednesday remanded Asaram in four-days' police custody.
72-year-old Asaram was brought to the city on Monday evening on a transit remand from a court in Jodhpur. He was lodged in jail in Jodhpur since August in connection with the sexual assault case.
Recently, Surat Police registered complaints against Asaram and his son Narayan Sai for alleged rape, sexual assault, illegal confinement and other offences. Two sisters from Surat had filed the complaint.
