Good rain spell in MP; 44 districts get above normal showers

A total of 471.5 mm of rainfall has been recorded in Madhya Pradesh till now, which is 81 per cent more than the average rainfall of 260.3 mm for this period.

So far, 489.6 mm rainfall has been registered in eastern Madhya Pradesh against average of 296.3 mm. While western Madhya Pradesh has received 457.3 mm rainfall against average of 232.2 mm.

The spell of good rains is continuing in the state as 44 districts have witnessed above normal and six districts normal rainfall. Yesterday, a maximum 113.8 mm of rainfall was registered against average of 13.8 cm.

Similarly, 66.9 mm rainfall was registered in Hoshangabad district against 12.6 mm, 52.3 mm against 12.7 mm in Mandla, 49.1 mm against seven mm in Burhanpur and 39.6 mm against average of 9.4 mm in Seoni district.

From July 1 till date, 796.9 mm rainfall has been registered in Sagar district, 657.4 mm in Damoh, 697.5 in Hoshangabad, 652.9 in Indore and 628.5 mm rainfall has been registered in Harda district.
