DMK chief M Karunanidhi on Wednesday condoled the demise of Ambal Ramamurti, senior labour leader and wife of late CPI (M) veteran P Ramamurti.
“I extend my deep condolences to her bereaved family members, especially to her daughters Vaigai and Ponni and party comrades," 90-year old Karunanidhi said in a statement.
Ambal, who passed away yesterday, had actively participated in the freedom struggle, after she was drawn to politics at the age of 16.
