A day after Christmas, Delhi woke up to a foggy and icy morning with reduced visibility. This has affected the movement of trains with reports of 30 trains arriving late, 6 being rescheduled, and 10 being cancelled due to low visibility and operational reasons.

Air Quality Index reported at Delhi's Lodhi Road reads - Major pollutants PM 2.5 at 316 in 'Very Poor' category, PM 10 at 285 in 'Moderate' category & Carbon Monoxide at 500 in 'Severe' category.

Fog has engulfed the national capital and adjoining areas as the cold wave has intensified in north India.
