New Delhi:

The Blue Line of Delhi Metro was hit by a technical snag on Friday, resulting in the disruption of the metro services from Dwarka Sector-21 to Noida City Centre/Vaishali.

The snag was detected at around 6.30 pm on the section between Rajiv Chowk and Barakhamba Road stations, the exact reason is yet unknown.

This resulted in heavy rush on the platforms of Rajiv Chowk metro station.

Due to the unwanted glitch, the normal road traffic was affected. Slow vehicle movements and heavy traffic jams resulted in troubles for daily travellers of the route.

Normal train services were restored by around 7 pm to 7.30 pm.

The Blue Line is the most snag-prone corridor of the Delhi Metro due to many factors, the main being largely over-ground network. It is one of the busiest strip of the Delhi Metro.
