New Delhi:

Technical problems on Delhi Metro's busy Blue Line on Wednesday led to another delay in services between Noida Electronic City and Akshardham, causing hardship for hundreds of commuters. The delay took place at around 4 pm in the afternoon and normal services have now been resumed, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement.

"Blue Line Update: Normal service resumed at 4:10 pm," the DMRC tweeted from its official handle.

Early in the day, train services were affected multiple times on sections of different corridors of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), leading the passengers to vent ire on Twitter.

There was slow movement of trains between Tis Hazari and Shastri Park and later also on Pitampura-Keshav Puram section of the Red Line. On the Blue Line, delay in service took place between Dwarka and Kirti Nagar following a technical snag on the section.

Commuters travelling from Yamuna Bank to Vaishali also faced problems as presence of a man on track at Kaushambi biriefly disrupted the service on Wednesday morning.

There was a delay in service from Ghevra to Inderlok and Kirti Nagar stations on the Green Line while the stretch between Ashok Park Main and Kirti Nagar developed another technical snag this morning. However, the normalcy was restored within a few minutes.

The services between Shaheed Sthal and Rithala section of the Red Line also faced delays, and normal services were later resumed.

Minor delay was also reported in services between Inderlok and Brigadier Hoshiar Singh stretch of Green Line and later on Blue Line's Dwarka Sector 21 and Noida Electronic City section. However, operations have been resumed now in both the sections.

The Blue Line connects Dwarka to Noida and Vaishali and is one of the busiest segments of the Delhi Metro network. Vaishali section branches off from Yamuna Bank, an intersection station.

The Green Line, which is the fifth line of the Delhi Metro network, runs between Inderlok and Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh with a branch line connecting the line's Ashok Park Main station with Kirti Nagar station on the Blue Line.

Red Line, the entirely elevated section of the DMRC, runs from Rithala to Shaheed Sthal (Ghaziabad ISBT), connecting the areas of North East Delhi, North Delhi and North West Delhi.
