Delhi wakes up to cool morning

New Delhi:

People in Delhi-NCR woke up to a cool morning on Saturday, as the mercury marked 25.6 degree Celsius, two notches below the usual temperature.

Rainfall is going to continue in different parts of the country, as light to moderate downpour is expected, said the Meterological (MeT) department on Saturday.

The Safdarjung observatory, the recording of which is considered as the official figure for the city, recorded 2.5 mm of rainfall between Friday and Saturday, whereas the Palam observatory registered 2mm of precipitation.

The Lodhi Road observatory got 2.44 mm of rainfall and the ridge are marked 2mm, a MeT department official said.

The maximum temperature was marked at 28.2 degree Celcius, six notches below the average, the official added.

On Friday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 28.3 and 25.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
