New Delhi:

As many as 100 shanties were gutted in a fire at Gurugram's Nathupur area. A seven-month-old baby is among the dead. At least seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

In April 2018,  around 150 shanties were gutted when a major fire broke out in a slum in Sector 49 near Vatika Chowk. The fire started when slum dwellers were setting out for work. However, no casualty was reported in the incident.

This is the second incident in Gurugram today. Earlier in the day, an under-construction building in Haryana's Gurugram collapsed in the early hours of Thursday. At least five people were feared trapped inside the building, reported news agency PTI. Three NDRF teams and rescue personnel rushed to the site of building collapse in Ullawas, Gurugram and are involved in the rescue operations.
