New Delhi:
Pre-monsoon showers in Delhi-NCR on Tuesday brought down the mercury level and provided the much needed respite from the unbearable summer heat and heat-wave condition.
The light drizzle came three days ahead of the monsoon arrival as predicted by the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD).
Several areas of the national capital region, including Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram welcomed the pre-monsoon showers.
Delhi has been witnessing extremely hot and dry weather condition with temperature soaring above 40 degree Celsius.
According to the IMD, monsoon will arrive in Delhi anytime between June 29 to July 1.
