New Delhi:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that all the malls except grocery, pharmacy and vegetable shops will be closed in Delhi in view of the coronavirus outbreak. Kejriwal has adopted slew of measures in order to curb the spread of COVID-19, which also include shutting down all restaurants in the national capital till March 31. Kejriwal had also said that those directed to go in quarantine should follow all rules otherwise strict action could be taken against them.

On the closure of malls in view of the coronavirus outbreak, CM Kejriwal tweeted, "In view of the prevailing situation, we are closing down all malls (except grocery, pharmacy and vegetable shops in them).” 

Delhi CM Kejriwal also held a meeting with medical superintendents of all Delhi government hospitals.

After meeting with the medical superintendents, Kejriwal tweeted, “Had a meeting wid MSs of all Del govt hospitals. If corona spreads widely in future, our hospitals shud be prepared to deal wid such situation - all machines shud be working, adequate ventilators, adequate medicines n consumables, manpower etc.”

The Delhi government's anti-Cornavirus measures also comprise the prohibition of religious, social, cultural and political gatherings as well as protests having more than 50 people in the national capital till March 31.

According to latest updates, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases has gone up to 195 with 22 new fresh cases coming from various parts of India. The coronavirus cases in India include 32 foreign nationals-17 from Italy, 3 from the Philippines, two from the UK, one each belonging to Canada, Indonesia and Singapore.
