New Delhi:

The sensational murder-cum-suicide by a family of five in Ghaziabad’s upscale Indirapuram has sent shockwaves in the area. The Ghaziabad Police has so far not divulged the identities of the victims. News Nation visited the apartment on the eighth floor of the high-rise society in Indirapuram. The investigators found the bodies of the two children lying on the bed. It is believed that the man and his two wives murdered the children in their sleep before ending their lives. The police say that the man smothered the children, aged 12 and 17, who didn’t resist the attack.

The couple had scribbled the suicide note on the wall of one of the bedrooms. “Here’s the money for our rites. Our last wish is that all five of us should be cremated together,” the suicide note read. The couple also blamed a man for taking this drastic step. News Nation is not revealing the name of that person as it may affect the ongoing investigation.

According to one of the relatives, the family had suffered a huge loss of Rs 2 crore in a business deal. The police say that the files recovered from the apartment show that the man had some business in jeans.

News Nation spoke to the security guard who spotted the bodies after the loud thud and informed the police. “Around 5 am, I heard a loud sound of something hitting the ground. I rushed in the direction of the sound and noticed two bodies on the ground. They were motionless. I informed my seniors and called the police,” Eijaz Karim Khan, the security guard in the gated society, told News Nation.

A dead rabbit was also found in an carton of the children’s bedroom. The family had moved in this Indirapuram apartment one and a half month back. Since they were new in the society, not many people were well-acquainted with them.
