About the snag, DMRC added, “This is being necessitated as a precautionary measure due to a civil maintenance issue. Please allow extra time in your commute.”

The Magenta line of the Delhi metro connects Delhi’s Janakpuri West station to Botanical Garden in Noida. Yesterday at around 7 am, the passengers going to Terminal 1 of IGI Airport faced problem.

The Magenta line comprises of 16 stations with several interchanges; for example, at Hauz Khas for yellow line and at Janakpuri West for blue line.

Earlier in a statement, DMRC added that services ran on a single line (the up line) between Janakpuri West and Sadar Bazar Cantonment section from 6 a.m. to 8:18 a.m.

Famously known as 'Knowledge Corridor', the Magenta line connects four universities of the NCR region. The Jawaharlal Nehru University and Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi, Jamia Milia Islamia University and Amity University are connected by Delhi Metro’s Magenta line.
