Former Rajasthan minister Babulal Nagar was on Saturday sent to CBI custody till October 29.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday arrested former Rajasthan minister Babulal Nagar, who is accused of raping and assaulting a 35-year-old woman.
Nagar was quizzed by the investigating agency earlier on Friday. The CBI sleuths recorded the statement of Nagar at Circuit House in Jaipur, officials said.
The Sodala Police station had booked Nagar for allegedly raping and beating up the woman on September 11, after calling her to his official bungalow in Jaipur on the pretext of giving her a job.
Nagar, who tendered his resignation as minister, was suspended from Congress by the party high command last month.
