New Delhi:

Tight security has been beefed up in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on Tuesday after district and session court received an anonymous letter threatening a bombing on its premises, said an official.

“The district and session judge received an inland postal letter on Tuesday containing bomb threat to make serial blasts at civil courts and kill judges,” Superintendent of Police (East) Raj Kumar said.

In a letter, the sender identified himself as a member of Akhil Bhartiya Nishad Manch and also an alleged victim of corruption in the judiciary, due to which he (sender) claimed to have planted bombs inside the civil courts between October 23 to 30, said police.
