Coronavirus: Tea Stall Owner Near 'Matoshree' Tests Positive For COVID-19, Area Under Observation

The area surrounding 'Matoshree', the private residence of Maharashtra Chief Minster Uddhav Thackeray in suburban Bandra - has been sealed due to COVID-19 scare. According to reports, the area was sealed and authorities began contact tracking after a coronavirus positive case was found in the vicinity. Thackeray and his family including minister Aaditya Thackeray reside in Matoshree. 

A vendor who sells tea near 'Matoshree' has been found positive for novel coronavirus infection, a civic body official told PTI on Monday. As a precautionary measure, the BMC has sprayed disinfectants in the area.

"The vendor run a tea stall in the locality. After he was found positive, contact tracking is going on," he said.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has stuck notices in the area and warned those in violation will be punished.
