Mumbai:

Incessant rrains have been lashing Mumbai since 1 am. The heavy rains have lead to traffic jams in various parts of the city.

Train services have been affected as they are running 30 minutes late on the Western Line and 40-50 minutes late on the Central Line.
Chunabhatti-Kurla Harbour services suspended following flooding on Central Railway. Harbour Line now running via main line.

BMC and Mumbai Police issue red alert. Mumbai set to receive heavy rainfall in next 48 hours, says weather bureau.

The BMC has said that it will take 4 hours for the 4.88 m high tide water to recede. At 12:43 pm today, huge waves lashed the city that didn't get much respite from the rain. 

If it floods and rains heavily, railway authorities have said they will shut down.

Many parts of the city are water-logged like the SV Road in Santacruz, the Saki Naka-Marol road in Andheri, Mahim church area, Versova, Elphinstone, Milan subway,  Juhu, JVPD, Hindmata, Wadala, Matunga and Kurla.

Heavy rainfall has also been reported from Thane and Raigarh on the outskirts of the city. Areas of Panvel, Alibaug, Bhiwandi, Vasai, Palghar, Virar and Karnala on the fringe of the city are water-logged.
