Legendary hotelier Kulwant Singh Kohli, the man who introduced 'butter chicken' to Mumbaikars, has died on Thursday, according to a report by IANS news agency. Kohli, the founder of Pritam Group of Hotels, breathed his last at Hinduja Hospital, where he was admitted five days ago.

The 85-year-old hotelier is survived by his wife Mohinder Kaur and threen children - sons Amardeep, Gurbaxish and daughter Jasdeep Kaur. His last rites will be held at Shivaji Park crematorium on Thursday evening.

Mourning Kohli's demise, Maharashtra Governor CV Rao said that he was a cheerful person and witnessed the economic development of the state.

"He was a lively and cheerful person, a successful business leader, he was a witness to the socio-cultural and economic development of the state," said Governor Rao.
