New Delhi:

A smart water project ‘Water ATM’ was launched on Saturday at the Kohima College by state Higher and Technical Education Minister Temjen Imna Along.

The newly installed Water ATM machine is the first of its kind in the state.

Along said installation of the Water ATM in the college would not only serve the college and school students attached with the college but would also benefit the local residents within the locality to use the water at a minimal cost.

The Water ATM will dispense 0.3 litre of water for rupee 1, one litre for Rs. 2 and 20 litre of water for Rs. 10 respectively.

The smart water project comes with fully automated with minimal or no-human intervention in water treatment process. Moreover, the system had both an in-built card and coin-based water vending machine system apart from the three separate stainless-steel water dispenser units.

ZSEE Smart Solution India Pvt. Ltd would be providing complete warranty in operation and maintenance of the ATM for 10 years with no cost to be borne by the college authority, an official said.
