The Nagaland government accepted the Governor's invitation for a formal discussion on the Rules of Executive Business, specially with regard to transfers and postings of bureaucrats in the state.
Chief Secretary Alemtemshi Jamir told PTI the meeting of the state cabinet held in the Chief Minister's residential office here this evening, accepted the invitation of the Governor to have a formal discussion before taking any final decision.
It may be recalled that the cabinet, during its previous sitting, had decided not to send files with regard to transfers and postings of bureaucrats below the rank of Director General of Police and Chief Secretary to the Governor for approval.
In another major decision, the cabinet approved introduction of air services from Dimapur to Guwahati and Imphal and vice versa.
The air service would be introduced at the earliest in partnership with a private company, Jamir said.
The cabinet also approved in principle the proposed Special Economic Development Zone along the foothills of the state.
