The Gujarat Police on Friday raided Asaram’s ashram in Bihar’s Darbhanga to nab his son Narayan Sai, who is allegedly absconding.

Asaram is arrested in a case of sexual assault of a minor, while one of the two sisters from Surat have accused Narayan Sai of raping her, while another has made similar allegations on the self-styled godman.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Delhi Police and the Surat Police conducted raids at several places in the national capital to nab Narayan Sai.

A team of cops launched search early on Wednesday as the whereabouts of Narayan Sai are not yet known.

Complaints of sexual assault were filed against the father-son duo by two sisters in Surat.

The elder sister in her complaint accused Asaram of repeated sexual assault between 1997 and 2006 during the time she had been living in his ashram on the outskirts of Ahmedabad city.

The younger sister filed a complaint against Narayan Sai, accusing him of repeated sexual assault between 2002 and 2005 when she was living in their Surat ashram.

The complaint against Sai was registered at Jehangirpura police station in Surat, while the one against his father Asaram was transferred to Chandkheda police station in Ahmedabad as the alleged incident took place there.

Asaram, 72, was arrested in August on charges of sexually assaulting a minor girl and has been in prison in Jodhpur since then.

The police have registered two complaints - one against Asaram and another against Sai - of rape, sexual assault, illegal confinement and other charges.
