Moderate to heavy rains lashed some parts of Himachal Pradesh as monsoons remained active in the state. 

The MeT office here has predicted rain and thundershowers at several places during next 72 hours. 

Shimla was wettest with 68 mm rains while Gaggal experienced 65 mm rains, followed by Paonta Sahib 48 mm, Baijnath 42 mm, Gohar, Sundernagar and Bajura 36 mm, Kasauli 33 mm, Dharamshala 32 mm, Bangana 30 mm, Kandaghat 27 mm, Mashobra 26 mm, Nadaun 24 mm, Guler 23 mm and Seobagh 21 mm. 

However, the maximum day temperature rose to 35.6 deg C at Una which was hottest in the region while Sundernagar and Bhuntar recorded a high of 32.6 deg and 32.0 deg, followed by Dharamshala 27.6 deg, Nahan and Solan 27.5 deg, Shimla 23.5 deg and Kalpa 23.2 deg. 

There was no major change in minimum temperatures as Una was hottest during the night with minimum temperature at 23.2 deg while Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded lowest temperature at 12.2 deg C.
